I’m on Indiana +7 vs Notre Dame in this College Playoff matchup for these reasons:
- Indiana are a well coached team, some would argue that they are more well coached than Notre Dame specifically due to how much this team as elevated in a years time. Neither team has had a tough schedule, but we got to see Indiana vs Ohio State, and though they were beat badly, I don’t see the Irish having the passing arsenal like Ohio State does, which is where the Hoosiers were really struggling against. Riley Leonard is not a passing qb. He averaged 174 passing yards per game, and that’s not going to be enough to really put fear in this Indiana defense, especially when Notre Dames game plan is to run the ball.
- Indiana are going to move the ball better, especially passing. Rourke averages 257 passing yards per game, but their running backs Ellison and Lawton are studs in that backfield averaging 5.5 and 4.8 yards per carry. A slow paced game is going to favor this Indiana Unit.
Official Play: Indiana +7
Side Bet: Under 50
Hail Mary: Riley Leonard Under 190.5 passing yards
