Everton at Manchester City
(EPL) (EVE) vs. (MCI),
Point Spread: 1.50 | -120.00 (EVE) (Away)
Result: Win
Two months ago we would not have considered Everton in this spot, but a lot has happened since. Such as Man CIty winning just 1 of 12 as Pep Guardiola is lost for answers on how to revive his struggling troops. Identifying what is wrong is a good place to start; the midfeild, sans Rodri, is woefully inadequate, especially when foes gain possession and start heading upfield, where they are not meeting much resistance all of the way thru the City backline. Meanwhile, Erling Haaland is being effectively marked out of recent games (and he doesn't help when he isn't scoring goals), while it is apparent that the old guard at the Etihad (Kevin DeBruyne, Kyle Walker, Bernardo Silva, Ilkay Gundogan--DeBruyne and Walker even being held out of the lineup in recent games) has lost a step or two. If Everton is one thing, it's hard to break down, as both Chelsea and Arsenal were held to nil-nil in the last two matches, as Sean Dyche's team begins to move clear of the drop zone.
