The Vitor Pereira era for Wolves got off to a smashing start last weekend when burying Leicester 3-0 behind first-half goals from Goncalo Guedes, Rodrigo Gomes, and Matheus Cunha. This after Gary O'Neil walked the plank as Wolves had fallen into the drop zone. But many insiders suggest Wolves have too much quality to go down and Pereira's first match, featuring several changes to the lineup and a new verve, are reasons for encouragement. Meanwhile not much of the latter for Man U, which was undressed 3-0 by Bournemouth on the weekend as Ruben Amorim must be wondering what he got himself into back in November. The one player who might be able to ignite things, Marcus Rashford, is in Amorim's doghouse and likely dropped again before this matchup, but it is apparent that across the pitch, the Red Devils are of dubious quality as they sit 13th in the table, their lowest at Boxing Day since 1989.
