One of the last games of the day comes in Fresno, where the Bulldogs welcome the Colorado State Rams. At their best, Fresno State is a decent team, but the inconsistency of the Bulldogs makes them a difficult bunch to trust.
Colorado State has quietly turned its season around. They're on a five-game win streak, and their losses this year came to Texas, Colorado, and Oregon State. It's true that the Rams got a bit lucky with a Mountain West schedule that doesn't include Boise State or UNLV, but they've gotten better as the year has gone on.
Fresno State, meanwhile, has dropped its last two games to teams in the bottom half of the conference. Most recently, they fell by eight points at Air Force, which hadn't previously won a Mountain West game this season. While Colorado State's gotten better with time, I'd argue Fresno State's gone backwards.
Fresno State is home, which is probably why the Bulldogs are favored. However, to me, the edge in momentum goes to Colorado State, and this hits me as a pick-em rather than a 3.5-point spread. With that said, give me the Rams getting three and a hook.
