Neither team has been playing to many high-scoring games of late, but we can expect those trends to end this evening.

The Mariners have seen the total go UNDER in three straight. They come in off three straight losses, falling 4-2, 3-0 and 4-0 at the Angels most recently.

Clearly, Seattle is deperate to plate some runs.

The A's have seen the total go UNDER in four straight. They most recently snapped a two-game slide with a 4-0 win over the Royals.

Marco Gonzalez (3-7, 3.41 ERA), gets the nod for the Mariners, while James Kaprielian (0-4, 6.31) couters for the A's.

Both of these guys are in the wrong place at the wrong time though, as note that the Mariners have seen the total go OVER the number in seven of their last ten after playing to three or more straight UNDERS in a row, while the A's have seen the total go OVER the number in five of their last six off a shutout victory.
