These teams have been playing to several lower-scoring games of late, but we're expecting those trends to end this evening.

That includes the Padres 3-2 win in 11-innings here yesterday.

Arizona has now seen the total go UNDER the number in three straight, which is significant to note in this case as the Diamondbacks have seen the total go OVER in ten of their last 13 after playing to three or more straight UNDERS in a row.

The visitors hand the ball to Madison Bumgarner (3-6, 3.45 ERA), while the home side counters with Mike Clevinger (1-0, 3.79.)

This will be only Bumgarner's second start since May 17th though due to injury. He's 0-3 with a 6.35 ERA in six starts vs. the Padres as part of the Diamondbacks.

Clevinger has only worked a total of 19 innings this season over four starts.

I say these shaky starters get chased early and that'll result in this total flying OVER the number sooner, rather than later.
