This is a 9* TOP TOTAL on the OVER Rockies/Diamondbacks.

While neither team has been involved in many higher-scoring games lately, we're expecting those trends to end this evening.

The Rockies have seen the total go UNDER in three straight, while the Diamondbacks have seen the total go UNDER in two of their last three, including in yesterday's 4-3 victory here.

Both starters have admittedly been decent, but this is a case of each being in the wrong place at the wrong time tonight. The Rockies' Chad Kuhl is 5-5 with a 3.83 ERA, while the Diamondbacks' Zac Gallen is 4-2 with a 3.40 ERA.

Note though that Colorado has seen the total go OVER the number in seven of its last ten after playing to three or more straight UNDERs in a row, while Arizona has seen the total go OVER the number in six of its last eight in trying to revenge a home loss against an opponent.

The situation and the numbers/trends all point to the OVER as the correct call in this one.
