I had a play on the OVER in this contest yesterday, and the Yanks went on to win 1-0. While that pick obviously came up short, we're now finally expecting a lot more offense here on Friday.

The Royals have now lost three in a row. They've also seen the total go UNDER in six straight. KC has also been shutout over three straight games.

Each team had plenty of opportunities to plate runs last night with runners in scoring position, but neither was able to get the job done in those crucial moments.

The Yankees have just six wins in their last 16 games, so these are two teams that are in need of a victory here today.

Gerrit Cole is 9-3 with a 3.09 ERA this season for New York. He gave up four runs off nine hits over six innings in a 6-3 loss to Baltimore in his last outing.

Kris Bubic is just 2-6 with a 5.53 ERA for the Royals this season. He's 0-1 with a 3.68 ERA for New York.

Note that KC has seen the total go OVER the number in six of its last eight in trying to avenge a shutout road loss against an opponent.

All signs point to this one flying OVER the posted number sooner, rather than later.
