This is a 9* ANNIHILATION on the OVER Rays/Tigers.

I had a play on the OVER in the Rays 5-3 win yesterday. Some pushed, others lost. I lost. Where that play came up short though, we now love how today's contest between the Rays and Tigers does indeed now finally set up as more of a "SLUG-FEST."

Detroit has seen the total go OVER the number in eight of its last 11 in trying to avenge two or more straight home losses against an opponent.

Shane McClanahan is 10-4 with a 2.07 ERA for the Rays, but he is coming off his worst start of the year, getting shelled for five runs off seven hits over four innings in a loss to the Guardians on Sunday. We believe the further regression is in order here now as well.

The home side counters with the volatile Garrett Hill, who is 1-3 with a 5.88 ERA, most recently allowing four runs off six hits over five innings vs. the Jays on Sunday.

We feel that the overall situation, combined with this strong trend point to the OVER as the correct call in this one as far as the total is concerend.
