The Cleveland Guardians take on the Detroit Tigers. Cleveland is two games back of Minnesota in the division standings. Cleveland will send Zach Plesac to the mound to face the Tiger's Garrett Hill. Plesac is 2-5 this season with a 3.86 ERA. He went six shutout innings last time out against the Twins. He has now gone at least six innings in eight of his last nine starts while yielding one run or less in three consecutive outings. This will be Hill's major league debut. He is 4-2 with a 3.23 ERA through 15 AAA starts. The Tigers are 1-7 in their last eight home games vs righties while Cleveland is 41-17 in their last 58 games at Detroit. Plesac should be able to hold the lowest-scoring team in the league in check. The Guardians should get some good hacks against a pitcher making his debut.
