The Ottawa Senators are expecting to be better this season and coming into this game they are the better team on paper. Ottawa made some improvements to their roster, bringing in Claude Giroux and 40-goal scorer Alex DeBrincat. The Sabres are still in rebuilding mode. They have promising young players but will be looking more for improvement than wins. Anton Forsberg allowed 2.37 goals a game in three games against Buffalo. The Senators won two of the three games last season and five of the last six against the Sabres. The Sabres ranked 22nd in goals last year. I like what the Sens did to improve their goal-scoring ability and it will pay off early with a win here.
