THE PROFESSOR’S UPPER-DECK BLOWOUT
(MLB) San Diego vs. Philadelphia,
Money Line: -112.00 San Diego (Away)
Result: Loss
One thing that is consistent in MLB playoffs is pitching is an advantage and in this case, I would argue that the Padres have a huge advantage on the mound. The Padres Joe Musgrove has been one of the better starters in the majors this season, and in the playoffs, he has made two starts and posted a 1.38 ERA. He has also fared well pitching against the Philler in his career. Suarez has not pitched well in his two starts in the playoffs and will need to pitch better in this one. The Phillies are 1-4 in their last 5 vs. National League West. The Padres are 18-4 in their last 22 games following an off day and 19-7 in their last 26 Friday games. I like the Padres in this one. Musgrove gives them a huge advantage on the mound and Suarez lasted just 3.1 innings against the Braves. The last thing the Phillies want to see is the bullpen coming in early.

Play on San Diego.
