The Gamecocks have a more powerful explosive offense compared to La Tech who does have a decent defense but they are not finishing drives on offense and they are one dimensional in offense. However, the Gamecocks have a strong run game and they will be able to move the ball against the Bulldogs who struggle to stop the run. The Gamecocks will have some success stopping the Bulldogs with their pass defense. Last season, the Gamecocks beat the Bulldogs 56-17 and this game should be a similar outcome with Jacksonville State winning and covering. The Gamecocks are 10-2 ATS against conference opponents and they are 8-0 ATS when playing against a team with a losing record. La Tech is 0-3 ATS as an underdog of 3.5 to 10 points in the last two seasons. Under QB Tyler Huff, the Gamecocks have performed like a juggernaut.
