All those innings through the years have taken a toll on Felix Hernandez. He just isn't that good anymore.

Hernandez has the big name, but his 4.28 ERA tells a different story. That's his highest ERA in 11 years. He has a 5.40 ERA away from pitcher-friendly Safeco Field and has yielded eight earned runs in his last two starts giving up 10 hits and five walks during this time frame spanning 11 innings.

Danny Duffy is in much better form allowing one run in three of his past four starts. Duffy has a 2.93 ERA in seven home starts this season. Kansas City is 35-16 the past 51 times Duffy has started at Kauffman Stadium. Duffy also has a 2.25 career-ERA versus Seattle in seven games, including five starts.

Duffy may avoid Seattle's top slugger, Nelson Cruz. He missed last night's game due to neck spasms.
