The New York Yankees took a 7-5 loss to Baltimore last night. Perhaps their minds and focus had already moved on to this opener of a four-game series at Fenway Park, and I like the Yankees to come through with a much better performance tonight.

CC Sabathia (6-4, 3.53 ERA) will take the ball for NYY. Since losing to the Red Sox on July 16, 2016, the left-hander is 6-0 against Boston, including 1-0 in two starts this season. Yankees are 21-6 in Sabathia's last 27 starts vs. a team with a winning record.

The Red Sox turn to a left-hander of their own in Brian Johnson (1-3, 3.45 ERA) who's coming off 5 2/3 shutout innings against Minnesota, but it's worth noting that his ERA home at Fenway is two runs higher at home than on the road.

Bostons bats have been quiet of late, scoring just a total of six runs through its last three games. The Yankees have not had such issues with 22 runs scored through their last four games.
