The Colorado Rockies scored eight runs in the eighth inning to rout the Cardinals 9-1 Saturday night, and I expect another Rockies win here on Sunday with left-hander Tyler Anderson on the mound.
Anderson (6-6, 4.45 ERA) is 2-4 despite a solid 3.65 ERA in 13 home starts on the season and his luck must turn around sooner or later. The Cards turn to another left-hander in Austin Gomber (3-0, 2.98 ERA) who will make his sixth start in the big leagues. The Cardinals have won each of his first five starts, but this will be his first outing at tricky Coors Field.
Rockies are 13-3 in their last 16 games vs. a left-handed starter and 12-3 in their last 15 home games vs. a team with a winning road record.
