Notre Dame has opened the season with blowout wins over Navy and Tennessee State.

The Fighting Irish will face a tougher test here in Week when they take on an NC State team that is coming off a 24-14 win at Connecticut. While NC State looked rather lackluster and failed to cover the two-touchdown spread, expect them to show up here.

The Wolfpack defense is quite familiar with Notre Dame QB Sam Hartman since his time at Wake Forest, and his numbers against the NC State defense are not all that impressive.

NC State had one of the best defenses in FBS last season, and I think their D will keep them in this game.
