Before February, New Mexico looked to be a tournament team. Now, though, the 21-9 Lobos have to launch a major run to have a shot. They regained some momentum beating Fresno State, 94-80, in their last game.

The Lobos have lost prestige following a 2-6 February. But I have more confidence in them bouncing back than Colorado State, who has lost eight of its last 11 games. The Rams have failed to break the 60-point barrier in three of their last four games. They are off a bad 63-46 road loss to San Jose State.

Neither team is strong defensively. New Mexico, however, outscores Colorado State by nearly nine points a game and is the superior rebounding team. The Lobos are a much better team with a healthy Jaelen House.

The Lobos had no difficulty handling Colorado State when they met the first time, winning 88-69 on Dec. 28.
