Las Vegas isn't going to lose many games this season. But this is one game the Aces are vulnerable.
It's Las Vegas' third road game in five days. The Aces haven't been sharp during their road swing. They defeated 2-3 Atlanta by five points as an 11 1/2-point favorite and nearly were upset by 1-4 Indiana. The Aces nipped the Fever, 84-80, as 15-point favorites two days ago.
Connecticut is 6-1 and has played a much tougher schedule than the Aces. The Sun have had this matchup circled since losing to the Aces in the Championship Series last season. Las Vegas leads the WNBA in scoring. The Sun, however, is No. 1 in 3-point defense and ranks No. 3 in scoring defense. They have the defense to slow down the Aces, especially playing at home with huge motivation.
The oddsmaker has been overpricing favorites lately in the WNBA, too. Underdogs have covered in 13 of the last 15 games.
