This is an 8* play on the Dallas Stars

The crowd at American Airlines Center has not had much to cheer for this season with their beloved Stars winning only one game in Dallas so far. Perhaps a meeting with the Coyotes is exactly what the doctor ordered.

The Coyotes have lost four straight meetings in Dallas with Kari Lehtonen starting each game for the home team, and he's 6-1-0 with a 2.24 GAA over his last seven match-ups. That could spell trouble for the Coyotes who are struggling to find the net already as it is.

The Stars do not have such offensive concerns, but have much like the Coyotes under-performed defensively all season long. They have however tightened up their penalty kill lately, going 15-for-17 over their last five games, and I expect them to be able to contain a fairly weak Coyotes offense tonight.

Tyler Seguin has carried Dallas almost on his own so far with 14 goals and 24 points. Jamie Benn scored his first goal in 11 games Tuesday and the Stars should be able to dismiss Phoenix quite comfortably if they can get their first-line firing on all cylinders.

Take DAL.
