Jack Flaherty was outstanding in Game 1, tossing seven shutout innings against the Mets. Supporting Flaherty will be an LA offense that has scored eight runs or more in four of their last six postseason games. The Mets will send David Peterson to the mound, which had a solid season, but his advance metrics indicated that regression has been on the way for a while. The Mets lost three of Peterson's last four regular season starts, and this is expected to be his first-ever postseason start (his six outings were out of the bullpen.) A more significant issue is if Peterson cannot do deep into this game, which is hard to expect, I don't see the Mets bullpen holding up.
