The Bulls have been one of the biggest surprises in the league this year as no one expected them to be 1st in the conference standings. Going back to Dec 19th, they have won 10 of 11 games, the lone loss coming at Dallas on Sunday, 113-99. But there was an immediate bounce back last night as the Bulls thrashed the Pistons 133-87, their largest margin of victory EVER in that particular rivalry. But, might Chicago have “used all its good shooting up?” They set a season-high in not only points, but also three-pointers made (18) and were 54.3% from the field while holding the Pistons to 33.7%.
Obviously, it won’t be that easy against Brooklyn. While the Bulls are 2-0 SU/ATS vs. the Nets this season, this will be the first time they’ve had to deal with Irving. The first meeting was a 118-95 final, but that was misleading as the Bulls had a magical 4Q where they outscored the Nets 42-17. Brooklyn also led at halftime in the second meeting. This is payback for the Nets, who are 3-1 ATS in the underdog role this season and tied for the best road win percentage in the league at 14-4 SU. 8* Brooklyn
