I'm playing LA on the run-line (+1.5 runs) The Angels got blanked yesterday and now they're up against stingy Kevin Gausman. The Angels have seen plenty of Gausman though and they beat him 5-1 the last time that he pitched here against them. They've hit six home runs against Gausman the last three times that they've faced him, a span of 17 1/3 innings, including four in the 5-1 game here at LA. My point is that they won't be as intimidated by Gausman as some of the NL teams have been. Of course, it helps that Ohtani has been rounding into form. In six home starts, he's got a dominant 1.78 ERA. The Angels have won his last three starts. In those three June starts, Ohtani has 23 K's against three walks. While LA knows Gausman, the Giants are unfamiliar with Ohtani. While I like them to win this game "outright," in a game where runs could be at a premium, getting an extra +1.5 to work with could well prove invaluable. Expect the Angels to bounce back with AT LEAST a "run-line cover."
