Not often do we see Georgia as an underdog (the last time in the 2021 opener at Charlotte vs. Clemson, won by the Bulldogs, 10-3). That's because Kirby Smart's team rarely loses; in fact, across the past 3+ seasons, only Alabama (three times) has beaten UGa We suspect this line move toward Texas is more of an overreaction to Georgia's ongoing pointspread shortcomings, but as a favorite, as well as more respect for Texas as it continues to hold the top spot in the polls. White the Bulldogs infantry nd defense haven't impressed quite as much as usual, QB Carson Beck is throwing for nearly 380 ypg across his last three outings. The Dawgs also give the impression that they have been riding the hand-brake, and the real Georgia might have been the team that stormed back from 28-0 down to forge a late lead at Bama three weeks ago, True, the Longhorns are surely formidable, but we also wonder how much stock should be put into wins over Michigan and Oklahoma, clearly down from last season. QB Quinn Ewers did return to active duty last week, but Texas was more methodical than spectacular in the romp past the downgraded Sooners. Play Georgia
