Flyers at Caps
(NHL) Flyers (PHI) vs. Capitals (WSH),
Money Line: -130.00 Capitals (WSH) (Home)
Result: Win
Let's make the Flyers win one before backing off the anti-Philly bandwagon. It's just not working right now for John Tortorella's team, which has looked tired since returning from a lengthy West Coast trip, and scored just one goal across their first two games at Wells Fargo Center vs. the Canucks and the Caps. It's the Caps once more tonight in a back-to-back, only this time in D.C., but not sure things get much better for the Flyers until the power play starts to click (which it hasn't yet) and the offense in general steps it up after barely bothering Charlie Lindgren (who faced only 17 shots) in the Caps' 4-1 win last night. Washington thinks it has an upgraded top six, and while Spencer Carberry switches goalies in the second of this back-to-back, note that Wednesday starter Logan Thompson is already 2-0-0 this season.
