It was a bit unfortunate that thr Clippers' opener with the Suns not land on the "under" side, as the game was pacing that way all thru regulation before the dreaded overtime after the scoreline reached only 103-103 thru the regulation four quarters. That hardly changes our opinion of the Clippers, as Ty Lue has stressed more defense without big guns like Paul George (now in Philly) and Kawhi Leonard (hurt...again. What's new!). Offseason additions were aimed at bolstering the defense. Meanwhile, Denver looked poor in the opening loss to Minnesota, but there might be reasons, including the questions about Jamal Murray's health, who looked slow in playoffs and Olympics with little explosion.
