We're about to find out if the Broncos are serious about this playoff challenge; Denver (5-1 SU its last six) is showing signs of being very ornery and we suspect the Broncos are well capable of getting at least one of these games in a tough two-week stretch against the Ravens and (next week) the Chiefs. Worth noting that Denver hasn't lost a game by more than seven points this season, as the defense continues to post outstanding numbers, not the least of which allowing only 17 ppg. The return of CB Pat Surtain II also means Vance Joseph's defense can effectively cut off half of the downfield passing lanes for the opposition, while Bo Nix continues to gain confidence running the offense. Word from Baltimore is that Lamar Jackson is nursing knee and back issues this week and has been limited in practice (not participating at all on Thursday), and while likely just precautionary, having him at anything less than 100% for this challenge would be a concern for John Harbaugh.
