Some curious trends to watch with the Clippers, who are just 2-4 in their new Intuit Dome home (those two wins in a row this week) but 2-0 on the road, with wins at Golden State (the Warriors' only loss to date) and Denver. The Clips are boasting some of the better defensive numbers in the league, with credit in part to new "defensive coordinator" Jeff Van Gundy and the various offseason adds (Derrick Jones, Nicolas Batum, Kris Dunn) all known for their conscientious work on the stop end. Meanwhile, Norman Powell (25 ppg) has been on a heater the past two weeks and provides another viable option to James Harden, as Ty Lue waits on Kawhi Leonard to return to active duty.
