Positive reports coming from Reno about Cal Poly transfer G Kobe Sanders, who scored 27 in his Wolf Pack debut vs. Sam Houston as Steve Alford looks to fill the shoes of his graduated pair of dynamic Gs, Jarod Lucas and Kenan Blackshear. Meanwhile, Danny Sprinkle has moved from Utah State to U-Dub and has brought last year's Mountain West MPV, PG Great Osobor, with him. Osobor's Huskies debut featured 15 points and 17 rebounds in the 79-73 win over UC Davis, though Sprinkle needs his three-point shooters to fire away a bit more accurately after U-Dub missed 12 of 14 triples vs. the Aggies. Still, the Huskies have real size beyond Osobor, including rugged 6-11 Franck Kepnang, who has battled injuries the past two years but played an effective 20 minutes in the opener. Nevada might not have slipped much if Sanders and fellow transfer Xavier DuSell man the backcourt as did Lucas & Blackshear, but this looks a discounted price on the Huskies. Play Washington
