Are the Bruins really stirring? With wins in four of six, there have been some signs lately that Boston might be ready to pick up the pace. Still, the evidence is not quite convincing. For example, goalie Jeremy Swayman, who has yet to perform as he did when becoming a brief sensation in the playoffs last spring. His numbers this season have been decidedly average (5-5-2, 3.03 GAA, 896 saves), and the Bruins have lost in three of his last five starts. Meanwhile, the Stars look like they might be ready to hit stride if their 7-1 romp past the Penguins on Monday was any indicator. Dallas was already up 6-0 after 19 minutes in the Stars' most-dominant effort of the season, with Miro Heiskanen scoring twice and Dallas twice connecting on the power play in four chances.
