We have noted this before about CSF, but we're still not seeing any sort of a sharp edge, or someone resembling a reliable go-to threat, on the current CSF squad, as Dedrique Taylor instead seems to have a bunch of grinders on his roster. That might not be a huge hurdle to overcome in the Big West but against competent non-conference opposition, the lopsided losses to Stanford and Colorado suggest the Titans are going to take their lumps in pre-league play. Wayne Tinkle's OSU looks like it could wreak similar damage as the Beavers have roared to a 3-0 start by whipping foes (Utah Tech and Weber State among them) not too different from CSF. OSU is shooting 52% from the floor in three games as former juco star G Nate Kingz looks well beyond last year's ACL tear and scoring at a 15 ppg clip while hitting 50% of his triples. The Beavers are also scoring at a healthy 83.3 ppg clip. The Titans, who have yet to play at home in Orange County, are only scoring at 61.7 pg and hitting a mere 37% from the floor and 26% of their triples.
