Weber State at Hawaii
(NCAAB) Wildcats (WEB) vs. Warriors (HAW),
Point Spread: -4.50 | -110.00 Warriors (HAW) (Home)
Result: Win
Why such a short price on Hawaii after it won all three games in its tourney at the Stan Sheriff Center last week? No indicator that this Weber State edition is any better than the teams the Rainbow Warriors beat last week. Especially as the Wildcats have struggled in the early going, routed at Oregon State and Nevada, scoring just 53 ppg in the process vs. the beavers and Wolf Pack. Replacing do-everything NBA first-round pick Dillon Jones (21 ppg; 10 rpg last season) is proving to be a tall order for HC Eric Duft, whose team was just 33% from the floor at Corvallis and barely 27% at Reno. Though Hawaii is shooting a tick under 30% on its 3-balls, it is hitting 54% from the floor overall, and scoring at a healthy 84 ppg clip. Play Hawaii
