You have to feel for Washington State, being left out of the Big 12 and Big 10. They have a Mountain West affiliation which is probably where they belong. Texas Tech had a wake up call in their opener against Abilene Christian. Behren Morton threw for 374 yards and five TDs. The Cougars are going with former backup John Mateer, who was a backup for two seasons for a reason.
