This one is pretty cut and dry when you get down to it. Washington has been awful this season and one has to wonder how much longer Davey Martinez will continue to have a job. The Nationals are 13-21 on the road this season and are dead last in runs per game allowed overall (5.63) in addition to on the road (5.82) this year. Paolo Espino is the latest desperation plugin to the rotation with Stephen Strasburg on the shelf, Patrick Corbin pitching miserably and Joan Adon back in the minors. Dane Dunning hasn't been great but the Rangers have won four of their last six coming in and based on his pattern since the start of May, we're due for a decent outing for him here. Texas has the edge on the mound, at the dish and in location. That carries them to a victory here.
