Result: Loss
This was the exact same route we went in week one as we backed the Bengals giving a similar seven points to the Steelers in the opener. We all know what happened: the Bengals turned the ball over five times, including a pick-six, gave up seven sacks despite a revamped offensive line, cost themselves a touchdown late by going with the quick snap, missed a potential game-winning extra point at the end of regulation and then a chip shot field goal in overtime before losing. That was last week: this is this week. Dallas looked awful against Tampa Bay on the offensive side of the ball and now they don't have Dak Prescott, who is out after suffering a thumb injury. That means Cooper Rush, who has exactly one NFL start to his credit, is running the offense right now. The Cowboys have no receivers to speak of outside of CeeDee Lamb, who caught just two of 11 targets for 29 yards. Dalton Schultz, Noah Brown, Simi Fehoko and maybe Jalen Tolbert, who was a surprise inactive last week, aren't going to strike fear in anyone. MIchael Gallup was ruled out again as he continues to recover from the ACL tear he suffered back in January. Dallas is playing poker with a hand consisting of a two, a three, a five, a blue Uno Reverse Card and the Old Maid (Code Monkeys reference for those of you out there who used to watch that show. The Bengals should win this one by double-digits if they hope to be taken seriously in a loaded AFC.
