Minnesota was terrific on both sides of the ball in their season opener, completely shutting down Aaron Rodgers and the Packers en route to a 23-7 victory at home. The Eagles are also 1-0 but they had their problems slowing down another NFC North opponent as they escaped with a 38-35 victory on the road over Detroit. Philadelphia was effective offensively though Jalen Hurts seemed more intent on running the ball (17 carries for 90 yards) than throwing it (18 of 32, 243 yards) for the majority of the game. Defensively, the Eagles did have a pick-six by James Bradberry, which proved critical as they would have fallen short without it. However, they were gashed for 181 yards on the ground by the Lions, which has to be music to the ears of Dalvin Cook, who ran for 90 yards in the win over Green Bay. Minnesota was sharp in the opener and they are motivated to prove that they can contend in the NFC with a primetime win. I like the Vikings to win this one outright, even in the City of Brotherly Love.
