Clemson Tigers -10.5
(NCAAF) Cardinals (LOU) vs. Tigers (CLE),
Point Spread: -10.50 | -107.00 Tigers (CLE) (Home)
Result: Loss
This is a completely different Clemson team than the one that was obliterated by Georgia in the opener. Since that point, the Tigers have won six straight and have been held under 40 points just once. Meanwhile, the defense has racked up 13 takeaways, Cade Klubnik has tossed 20 touchdown passes against three picks plus added four rushing scores and Phil Mafah is battering opposing defenses on the ground. Louisville is a high-scoring offense but they are over-reliant on big plays. That kind of system doesn't always work and a couple three-and-outs could put the Cardinals in a hole they'll never be able to climb out of. Playing in Death Valley is a challenge for any team, especially one that needs to hit big plays to move the sticks and put up points. Take Clemson at home as they make it seven straight wins.
