I went the other way in this one Friday night only to see the Redbirds fall short in a 5-3 defeat as Bailey Falter got the better of Miles Mikolas. In this one, I'm backing the Phillies at home. While Philadelphia is without Bryce Harper, there are still plenty of bats in the Phillies' lineup that can do damage on any given night. Kyle Gibson pitched well in three straight starts before struggling against San Diego in his last outing. Meanwhile, the Cardinals are playing musical chairs with their rotation due to injuries as Matthew Liberatore is back up with the big club. He's 2-1 with a 4.00 ERA, a 1.611 WHIP, 10 walks and 15 strikeouts over 18 innings in four starts, two of which came against the Pirates. Liberatore is sporting a 6.02 FIP ERA so he's due for some negative regression. The Cardinals' bullpen has had their issues, even with their closer, and the stumbling on the mound does the Redbirds in here. Look for Nick Castellanos, Rhys Hoskins, JT Realmuto and company to give the Phillies the victory.
