THE INSIDERS ROOM'S 10* NFC GAME OF THE YEAR (MY BIGGEST NFL PICK YET!)
(NFL) San Francisco vs. New Orleans,
Point Spread: 10.00 | -123.00 San Francisco (Away)
Result: Loss
This is a 10* NFC GAME OF THE YEAR on the San Francisco 4ers.

The 49ers have now lost two straight..after winning three straight...most recently it was a 34-17 setback at home to Green Bay last Sunday...San Francisco finally enjoys a by week next week...so it won't be lacking for motivation here as it tries to get back into the winners circle...

New Orleans of course is coming off the big 38-3 win at Tampa Bay last weekend...and it's now won six in a row...

it's hit a really vanilla part of its schedule as well...with upcoming games vs. Atlanta twice, Denver and Philadelphia...as well as this Week 10 matchup against San Francisco...

So how do the Saints respond here after their big win last weekend? The way backup quarterback Jameis Winston was eating W's last week after the victory..you'd have though the Saints won the Super Bowl or something...

So...as good as New Orleans has looked of late...I do think this sets up as a kind of natural letdown spot...but for the 49ers..they're essentially playing for their season here...this is almost do or die for San Francisco..and an outright win just before its bye week would be a major difference maker for the rest of the season...

The bottom line is and what I'm getting at ... is we don't have to question the 49ers resolve and effort here...while seeing New Orleans finally having a bit of a letdown here definitely doesn't seem out of the realm of possibility to me...

Motivation and effort are two things I always look at when handicapping a game..so that plays a big part here..Nick Mullens has five touchdowns and four interceptions...San Francisco is still dealing with plenty of injuries on both sides of the ball...but the defense remains its strength...

However, unlike last week vs. the Bucs...if the Saints do have a lead going into the second half...the need or desire to run up the score won't be there either..instead the home side will definitely be looking to kill clock and avoid injury..so that also works in San Francisco's favor here and the large spread.

I talked about this game on LIVE CAP show on Wednesday, but now I'm making it official. Grab as many points as you can!

Good luck, NP
