I mentioned in the promo of this pick about this being a great "situational" play, and for Opening Night, it really is.
What can you possibly base any sort of reasoning when handicapping this game? A shortened pre-season which saw both team's stars rest. Plenty of new faces for each team?
I'm basing this pick entirely upon the fact that the Hornets are almost 100% healthy heading into the season. Yes, Charlotte has a lot of young and unexperienced talent, but there's no question that this younger group is hungry to prove themselves.
And what better opponent to do that against than the Cavaliers, who enter the year with several key players and starters sidelined with injury, including Kevin Love and Colin Sexton (among many others.)
This is a play on the HORNETS MONEY LINE.
