Both teams are in need of a victory. I find that non-conference games are often played with much less intensity on the defensive end, and all signs point to that being the case here.
Portland has split its last eight games. The Blazers are averaging 114.4 PPG, while allowing 115.3. Clearly that's not a longterm recipie for success.
The Heat are even more desperate though as they look to end a four-game slide. Miami averages 106.2 PPG, while allowing 107.6.
