It's opening day. For the most part over the first two weeks, I'm basing my selections on starting pitching. That's not enitrely what we look at, but until we can get a good luck at each team, each pitcher and get a "feel" for what's going on, this is the approach that we take.

We think Baltimore offers great value to pull off the upset in Boston on Opening Day.

Both teams are coming off poor campaigns.

Boston already had its first setback this year, when Opening Day starter Eduardo Rodriguez had to be scratched due to an arm issue. That means that Nathan Eovaldi gets the call.

Eovaldi was decent last year.

John Means as just 2-4 with a 4.53 ERA last season. Baltimore finished in front of the Red Sox last year though and it's young talent will take a big step forward once again this season.

We like Means to match Eovaldi inning for inning, which swings the value in favor of the dog here in our opinion.
