This is an 8* CUSTOMER APPRECIATION TOP-PLAY on the Braves.
I think the Braves are worth the price of admission in this spot.
Clearly, Atlanta can't be happy after getting swept in yesterday's double-header by the D-Backs.
The Braves do however have to be feeling confident with Charlie Morton on the hill, who owns a 3.91 ERA and a 27:7 K:BB over 23 innings of work thus far. Previous to that he struck out nine in a win. The veteran continues to get the job done night in and night out and I like him to get the better of his struggling counterpart.
The visitors counter with Zach Davies, who owns an 8.80 ERA and a 1-2 record for the Cubbies so far.
ATL is 7-2 in its last nine after back-to-back home losses and with what we feel to be the far superior starter on the hill to open this one, we're laying the price and expecting a decisive victory.
The play is ATLANTA.
