This is an 8* TOTAL on the OVER Padres/Giants.
I had a play on the Giants last night, and they held on for a 5-4 victory. I believe we'll see a similar final combined score here as well.
Joe Musgrove is 2-3 with a 2.38 ERA. His numbers are skewed because of the perfect game and he's already coming back down to Earth hard, last week vs. these very Giants he allowed six runs off four hits over five innings.
The home side counters with Kevin Gausman, who is 2-0 with a 2.04 ERA. Guasman threw opposite Musgrove last week and earned the win, but now that San Diego's had a chance to see him, I'm expecting a much different result this time around.
This number is too low. Musgrove is already scuffling and Gausman's early numbers are unsustainable. I look for this total to sneak OVER as the game comes down the stretch.
