This is a 10* TOP TOTAL on the OVER Royals/Rays.
The first two games of this series have fallen UNDER the number, but everything points to the get-away-game going OVER in my opinion.
The visitors hand the ball to Brady Singer, who is 2-3 with a 4.00 ERA. He most recently gave up three runs over six innings in a victory over the Tigers on Saturday. Singer has been decent overall for the Royals this year, but I simply feel that he's in the wrong place, at the wrong time today.
Shane McClanahan gets the nod for the home side. He most recently allowed one run over five innings in a victory over the Jays on Saturday, not factoring into the decision. Previous to that he gave up four runs over two innings off a pair of homers to the Mets.
The book is out on McClanhan, but I'll point out as well that the Royals have seen the total go OVER in eight of their last 11 in trying to avenge a road loss against an opponent in which they were held to one or less runs in.
Look for these offenses to garner the majority of headlines in tomorrow's summaries.
The play is the OVER.
Good luck, NP
