This is a 10* TOP SATURDAY TOTAL on teh UNDER Twins/Royals.
Both teams have been playing to plenty of high-scoring games of late, but now the value has swung the other way as far as the total is concerned in my opinion.
The Royals have now seen the total go OVER in eight straight, including in both victories over the Twins to open this four-game series. That includes yesterday's 14-5 blowout win.
Minnesota has now seen the total soar OVER in three of its last four.
The home side turns to Mike Minor, who is 4-2 with a 4.65 ERA and who is getting stronger as the season progresses.
Minor most recently allowed two runs while striking out seven over six innings in a victory over Pittsburgh on Monday. Over 60 innings of work he now owns a sharp 68:22 K:BB.
The desperate Twins counter with their ace Jose Berrios, who is 5-2 with a 3.36 ERA and who gave up one run over eight innings in an unfortunate no-decision to the Orioles on Monday.
Berrios has been a bright spot for this struggling Twins rotation and note that he's consistenly been at his best on the road, going 2-1 with a 2.30 ERA.
Look for these two "in top form" starting pitchers to garner most of the headlines in tomorrow's summaries of this contest.
The play is the UNDER.
Good luck, NP
