While yesterday's total "pushed" on 9 in the Pirates' 5-4 victory, I believe that we'll see a much higher-scoring game between these hungry clubs on Saturday afternoon.
The visitors hand the ball to JT Brubaker, who is 4-6 with a 3.77 ERA. Brubaker has been a bright spot for the Pirates, but while he's 3-3 with a 2.71 ERA at home, he's only 1-3 with a 5.14 ERA on the road.
The home side goes with Adam Wainwright, who is 5-5 with a 3.74 ERA. He gave up one run over seven innings in a victory over the Braves in his last outing.
Wainwright has been good this year, but note that the Cards have seen the total go OVER the number in eight of their last 11 in trying to revenge a home loss against an opponent in which they allowed five or more runs in.
I look for this total to sneak OVER late.
