The Mets are coming off back-to-back losses at the Braves, falling 20-2 two nights ago, and then also losing last night with ace Jacob deGrom on the hill.
I don't think things are going to get any easier on Taijuan Walker on the road here either.
Walker is 6-3 with a 2.38 ERA this year for the Mets, and he's opposed by Jordan Montgomery, who is 3-2 with a 4.06 ERA for the Yanks.
For arguments sakes, I think these starters a "wash." I don't trust the Mets bullpen at all though, and with the Yanks' game postponed yesterday, they come in with a little extra rest here as well.
Look for the NEW YORK YANKEES to strike first in the Subway Series.
