This is a 10* TOP THURSDAY TOTAL on the UNDER Yanks/Mariners.

While the first two games of this series have flown OVER the number, I think that the getaway game sets up as more of a DUEL.

Jordan Montgomery is 3-3 with a 4.17 ERA and he won't be lacking for motivation here as he tries to get off the schneid and snap a five-game winless streak.

He most recently took a loss against the Mets, allowing three runs over five innings with six strikeouts.

Montgomery has been solid overall though with an 86:26 K:BB and he'll be looking at this as a big opportunity to get back on track.

Logan Gilbert is 2-2 with a 4.10 ERA and he most recently gave up three runs off five hits while striking out six over six innings in a no-decision to the Rangers on Friday. Over 41.2 innings he owns a sharp 45:10 K:BB and note that he's 2-0 with a 1.88 ERA in all "day" games.

While the first two games have flown well OVER, I think the stage is now set for more of a lower-scoring contest on Thursday.

Everything points to the UNDER as the correct call in this one.
