This is an 8* CUSTOMER APPRECIATION PLAY on the Mariners.

While I do believe the outright upset is possible here, in the end I think laying this very reasonable price for the extra 1.5 runs of insurance is the way to go.

Andrew Heaney is overpriced here in my opinion.

Heaney is 5-6 with a 5.38 ERA. He earned a win in his final start before the break, allowing three runs over five innings against the Red Sox.

Despite that decent performance though, note that Heaney has still be crushed for 18 runs over his last 19.1 innings of work (owns a poor 5.46 ERA at home as well.)

Chris Flexen is 8-3 with a 3.51 ERA for the Mariners this season. He faced the Angels in his final first half start, and he went seven scoreless and struck out six.

Flexen has been even better of late, posting a 1.38 ERA over his last 32.2 innings of work.

I like Flexen to keep his consistent run going here.
